Who should consider?
Anyone who would like to experience a bespoke, wildlife behaviour-focused safari with carefully selected, proven and comfortable accommodations led by a award-winning wildlife photographer and a passionate guide.
Wildlife enthusiasts who would like to see some of the most iconic habitats in Africa during a special Green Season.
Enthusiasts of photography who would like to capture incredible wildlife moments on camera and media to share and remember for years to come.
What to Expect?
Everyone should be prepared for a maximum of wilderness with a minimum of visitors – we may be alone on sightings most of the time.
We plan to spend a good amount of time in the field, looking for great sightings, understanding animal behaviour, spending time with wildlife rather than ‘chasing’ species.
We will leave our camps before sunrise, after coffee, and may return for lunch or as needed – flexibility in our schedule will be a key. We will come back well after sunset and a sundowner in the field. We don’t won’t to miss amazing sightings.
We will ensure that both, novice and advanced fans of photography, as well as the ‘iPhone shooters’ will have opportunities to capture amazing pictures and video clips.
Short storms or rains are expected, providing incredible, dramatic and unique scenery for photography and observing a wildlife during such special time.

Destinations and Wildlife at a Glance
We will sample some of the best concessions in the Okavango delta and Linyanti Waterfront on the border with Namibia.
In the Okavango Delta the key species that we focus on include painted dogs, big cats (lions, leopards, cheetah), buffalos and elephants. However, these areas are where we often see shy antelopes such as Sable, Roan or Eland. Large herds of red lechwe grace marsh areas, while the general games such as giraffes, zebras, impala and wildebeest are found behind ‘every corner’. Nocturnal ’regulars’ that are spotted during evening drives include civet, genet or African wildcat.
The Linyanti Waterfront is located between the Chobe National Park to the east and the Okavango to the south. We will stay in concession on the West side of Linyanti, where prides of lions, elusive leopards, painted dogs and large herds of elephants always deliver incredible sightings. Green season sometimes offers amazing sightings of hundreds of elephants bathing in Kwando river and its channels – and we hope to be next to them observing this ritual from the boat in a perfect harmony.

Testimonials
‘I am an amateur photographer and really enjoyed the trip with Wild Encounter Safaris in January 2020. It was the rainy/low season in Botswana and this proved to be an excellent time to see the wildlife in very privileged conditions. As a photographer it was a joy travelling with a group of like-minded individuals. Artur made sure to maximise our photo opportunities and to guide the group to anticipate better conditions and vantage points. This was particularly valuable in dynamic situations – when we followed lions or wild dogs hunting, or found ourselves in unique sightings of Aardwolf, brown hyenas or Aardvark. This was a very satisfying trip for a keen photographer!”
“In 2020 Irma and I joined Artur on a 16-day trip to Botswana. Due to the travel restrictions our Green Season trip had to be rescheduled three times but early July we finally traveled to Maun via Johannesburg. Initially it felt strange to be the only guests in most of the camps and this is how safari’s must have been many years ago. Thanks to the meticulous planning and attention to the smallest details by Artur, our trip to five different locations in the Kalahari and Okavango Delta was a great success and we arrived back home with more than 6000 amazing pictures and memories that will last us a long time to come. In Mai 2022 we will travel with Artur again but this time to Uganda to see the Big Apes.”
